Problem 1. VisionDoc

How do I disconnect and send my VisionDoc SQL Server database ?

Solution:

Start the ‘Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio’ application.
In the connection window, connect with administrator rights.
In the ‘Object Explorer’ window, select the ‘Databases’ object.
Select the database and click on the mouse right button to see the context menu.


From the menu, select ‘Tasks’ then select ‘Detach…’.
In the new ‘Detach Database’ window, make sure that the database shown is the one you want to detach and press ‘OK’.
If the operation is successful, the database is removed from the database list.


With the Windows explorer, select the default SQL Server database folder :
i.e. : C:\ Program Files\ Microsoft SQL Server\ MSSQL.1\ MSSQL\ Data
Select the files DatabaseName.mdf and DatabaseName.ldf and copy them in the folder of your choice to send them to Geo-Plus.
If the files are not in the default SQL Server database folder, check with your database administrator if the folder has been changed.

 

Problem 3. VisionDoc

Error message: VbUtil14.dll non-registered or wrong version.

Symptom:

The error message appears when opening VisionDoc.

Solution:

This message is generated when there is no printer pilot installed on your computer.

If your computer has a printer pilot, register it again using DLLVbUtil14.dll, located in the VisionDoc installation directory. You can then use the command REGSVR32 to register the DLL from your command window.

 

 

Problem 3. Error message: VbUtil14.dll non-registered or wrong version.

Problem 4. Error message: PDF.ocx non-registered or wrong version

How do I connect my SQL Server database ?

Solution:

Start the 'Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio' application.
In the connection window, connect with administrator rights.
In the 'Object Explorer' window, select the 'Databases' object.
Click on the mouse right button to see the context menu. From the menu, select 'Attach…'.


In the new 'Attach Database' window, press 'Add…'.
Select the DatabaseName.mdf file of the the database to connect and press 'OK'.


In the 'Attach Database' window, the files DatabaseName.mdf and DatabaseName.ldf appear.
Press 'OK'.


If the operation is successful, the database name is added to the list of databases.

 

Problem 4. VisionDoc

Error message: PDF.ocx non-registered or wrong version

Symptom:

The error message appears when opening a Document files.

Solution:

Make sure Acrobat Reader is installed on your computer. If not, you can download it from the following site: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.

If Acrobat Reader is already installed, register pdf.ocx again. You can find this file under the Acrobat sub-menu: /Acrobat Reader X.O./Activex/ in the Acrobat installation directory. You can then use the command REGSVR32 to register the DLL from your command window.
